Welcome to my site

My name is Jay Fiondella and I’m the author of three books – But Dad, The Quirky Bathroom Book and my latest release, Project Earth. I just started this website at the end of August 2025 and I’m eager to hear from you, as well as get your reviews on any of my books.

I was born in a suburb of New Haven, Connecticut. I moved to Detroit in the early 1980s to pursue my dream of becoming a successful rock drummer. Thank God I became an electrician, or as I put it, “My kids would have starved!” I have three children, Shane, Corin, and Victoria, who enjoy poking fun at me. I am also a proud grandfather of three beautiful young ladies who happen to love their Poppa Jay!

I have continued my musical endeavors through the years and began entertaining thoughts of pursuing my love for prose, starting with my first book, But Dad, a personal narrative of fatherhood. In 2023, I retired, and my wife, Jenine and I moved to Northern Michigan, where I continue to follow my passion for writing. Project Earth is my third self-published work and my first full-length science fiction novel. I enjoy beating the drums, now governed by my aching anatomy, and I’m currently working on a sequel to Project Earth.
